N O T I C E OF
WINTER PARKING PROHIBITION

HOUGHTON COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION

In accordance with Act 300, PA of 1949, there has been issued a Traffic Control Order no.PA 31-08-92 on April 24, 1992, which states that in all of Houghton County, "There shall be no parking on either the roadway or shoulder of any state trunkline highway or county road outside of incorporated cities and villages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (local time) from November 1 of any year through April 15 of the succeeding year".

This traffic control order has been made as a result of a traffic engineering investigation jointly with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan Department of State Police and the Houghton County Road Commission.

The Houghton County Board of Road Commissioners is accepting applications until 4:00 p.m., October 11, 2019 for jobs as described below:

Equipment Operators at the Calumet and Ripley garages

A Group A Commercial Driver's License with tanker and air brake endorsement is required.

Applications and job descriptions are available from the Houghton County Road Commission office in Ripley, or call 482-3600 for more information.
