Dust Control Application 2024 - order by May 10, 2024
HOUGHTON COUNTY
DUST CONTROL APPLICATIONS
The Houghton County Road Commission will be applying dust control (38% Calcium Chloride) for private parties, for a fee, only in June, 2024.
Order must be placed and payment received by May 10, 2024.
For cost information and availability, please call the Houghton County Road Commission office in Ripley at (906) 482-3600 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday, by mail at P.O. Box 269, Hancock, MI 49930 or by email at lori@houghtonroads.org.

N O T I C E OF
WINTER PARKING PROHIBITION
HOUGHTON COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION
In accordance with Act 300, PA of 1949, there has been issued a Traffic Control Order no.PA 31-08-92 on April 24, 1992, which states that in all of Houghton County, "There shall be no parking on either the roadway or shoulder of any state trunkline highway or county road outside of incorporated cities and villages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (local time) from November 1 of any year through April 15 of the succeeding year".
This traffic control order has been made as a result of a traffic engineering investigation jointly with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan Department of State Police and the Houghton County Road Commission.
